The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the municipality of Tadoussac, as well as the commissioning of a charging station for electric vehicles. Visitors can now charge their cars in the parking lot of the Maison du tourisme, located at 197, Rue des Pionniers.

“As Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, as well as Minister responsible for the Côte-Nord, I am delighted by this excellent news for the region. I am proud to see that Tadoussac has chosen to offer charging infrastructure to its residents and I hope other municipalities will follow suit. Our government has chosen to electrify transportation and we will continue our efforts to remain a leader in this field,” said Mr. Pierre Arcand.

“We are proud to offer this new charging service for electric vehicles to our residents and vacationers visiting the region. This charging station will bring added value to the services offered to our municipality. We are very proud,” said Mayor Hugues Tremblay.

“We salute the initiative of Tadoussac, the first municipality in the Côte-Nord region to offer a charging station for electric vehicle users,” said France Lampron, Director – Transportation Electrification at Hydro-Québec on behalf of the founding partners of the Electric Circuit. “In addition to improving our service offering in this beautiful area, this new partner is very important to us because it allows the Electric Circuit to expand into a new Québec administrative region.”

The Electric Circuit
The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Québec. It is a major initiative in the implementation of the infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec. The network comprises close to 475 public charging stations, including 15 fast-charge stations, in operation in select parking lots of the AMT as well as several RONA stores, Metro grocery stores and St-Hubert restaurants across Québec. Since its launch in March 2012, 113 private and institutional partners have joined the Electric Circuit, and the network now has over 5,000 members.

Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec, as well as a charging-station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site theelectriccircuit.com and the mobile app for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are commissioned.
