Come discover the fall activities of the Électrium and the Beauharnois generating station!
The Électrium, Hydro-Québec’s electricity interpretation center, and Beauharnois generating station, one of the world’s largest run-of-river hydropower facilities, have put together an amazing free fall schedule that’s got something for every member of the family. The ever-popular Profaqua workshops are back, as are the captivating tours of the electricity interpretation centre!
Free science initiation workshops for youngsters
Hydro-Québec invites kids aged six and up to fun, original workshops featuring electrifying experiences. There’s a new theme every Sunday at the Électrium, and on a few Saturdays at Beauharnois generating station: robotics, chemical reactions, light, dry ice, and more.
Young scientists can discover various wonders in the world around us, observe exciting experiments and test their knowledge.
Highlights to plan your visit
- Workshops and tours are free.
- Reservations are mandatory. Space is limited so we recommend contacting the Électrium team in advance at 1 800 267-4558 or the Beauharnois generating station team at 1 800 365-5229.
- he workshops will take place until the end of December.
- Électrium: every Sunday from October 31 to December 19, 2021
- Beauharnois generating station: Saturday, October 30, November 20 and December 4, 2021
- The workshops last 60 minutes and are offered four times a day. Tours are between an hour and 90 minutes.

The Électrium is located in Sainte-Julie at Exit 87 on Highway 30 and Beauharnois generating station is located at Exit 22 on Highway 30.
Again this year, a special schedule will be offered during the holiday season. The lineup will be revealed in December. Make the most of the holidays and discover—or rediscover—the Électrium.
