Electricity Exports: Hydro-Québec is continuing discussions with Ontario

Following the article published today in La Presse+ concerning a possible agreement between Québec and Ontario, it is important to note that no new agreements have been signed at this point. Ontario is a major Hydro-Québec customer and we have regular discussions about the supply of electricity.

Hydro-Québec is active on international markets, particularly when it comes to seeking new export opportunities. The company recently proposed a number of options to meet Massachusetts’ energy needs. We also intend to respond to the call for proposals to supply energy to the state of New York.
