Each St-Hubert restaurant to offer an electric vehicle charging station

The Electric Circuit is very pleased to announce that Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert will be outfitting all of their restaurants with public charging stations by the end of 2015. To date, 28 charging stations are already in service in the parking lots of various St-Hubert restaurants across Québec. Eventually, more than one-hundred St-Hubert restaurants will be equipped with charging stations.

We are proud that these local businesses are choosing to offer charging infrastructure to their customers since this will definitely contribute to increasing the number of plug-in vehicles currently circulating on our roads,” said Pierre Arcand, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Minister responsible for the Northern Plan.

“We are firm believers in the transportation electrification initiative and are convinced that the success of this project depends largely on the availability of public charging stations across Québec”, said Jean-Pierre Léger, President and Chief Executive Officer of Groupe Saint-Hubert. “By supporting the development of the Electric Circuit, we are signifying the company’s commitment to sustainable development and addressing the environmental concerns of our employees and customers.”

This is what has allowed us to continue developing the public charging offering in Québec. We are at the forefront of this development and we plan on fully maintaining our leadership status”, concluded Mr. Desgagné.

The Electric Circuit
The Electric Circuit is the largest public charging network in Québec. It is a major initiative in providing the charging infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec. The network has more than 360 public charging stations, including 8 fast-charge stations, in operation in select parking lots of the AMT as well as several RONA stores, Metro grocery stores and St-Hubert restaurants across Québec. Since its launch in March 2012, 92 private and institutional partners have joined the Electric Circuit.

Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec as well as a charging station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site theelectriccircuit.com and the mobile application for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are installed or commissioned.
