Results from the Electric Circuit’s tender callAddÉnergie will supply the fast-charge stations

AddÉnergie Technologies has won the tender call issued, on behalf of the partners of the Electric Circuit, by Hydro-Québec to supply fast-charge stations. Based in the city of Québec, the company will supply 400-volt charging stations to partners of the Electric Circuit over the first months of 2015. Hydro-Québec will provide further details on the rate of deployment of these charging stations in coming weeks.

Bids were evaluated using a strict protocol comprising a number of criteria, including product robustness, bid price, user-friendliness and after-sales service. All of the proposed charging stations went through rigorous climate testing at Hydro-Québec’s research institute this past November and December.

“We are very pleased to work with AddÉnergie for the rollout of fast-charge stations in our network,” said Pierre-Luc Desgagné, Vice President – Public and Government Affairs at Hydro-Québec, on behalf of the founding partners of the Electric Circuit. “Their proposal set itself apart in terms of value for money and the robustness of their product. In addition, their customer service approach will be a major asset in the expansion of our public charging network.”

About the Electric Circuit

The Electric Circuit is the first public charging network in Canada and the largest in Québec. It is a major initiative in providing the charging infrastructure required to support the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles in Québec. The network has over 350 public charging stations in operation, including eight fast-charge stations in operation since fall 2014 across Québec. Since its launch in March 2012, the Electric Circuit has attracted nearly 3,500 members. It groups 91 private and institutional partners, including the five founding partners, and covers 92 municipalities and 15 administrative regions.>

Electric Circuit users have access to a 24/7 telephone help line run by CAA-Québec as well as a charging station locator service. The Electric Circuit Web site, theelectriccircuit.com, and the mobile application for iOS and Android are updated as new stations are installed or commissioned.
