Two new charging stations for electric vehicles commissioned in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures

The Electric Circuit is pleased to announce the signing of a partnership agreement with the city of Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, as well as the commissioning of two new public charging stations for electric vehicles. Visitors can now charge their cars in the parking lot of the new multipurpose sports complex, located at 230, route de Fossambault.

“By contributing to the development and expansion of the network of electric vehicle charging stations, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures is demonstrating that transportation electrification is well underway in Québec. With the numerous actions taken over recent years and the Transportation Electrification Action Plan 2015-2020 unveiled last month, our government is reaffirming its commitment to transportation electrification and the fight against greenhouse gas emissions,” said Sam Hamad, Minister responsible for the Capitale-Nationale region.

“Already committed to implementing the ISO 14001 and 37120 environmental standards, Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures is taking another step towards protecting the environment with these two charging stations. Located at a strategic location at the sports complex, they will be very useful for local and visiting electric vehicle drivers,” said Mayor Sylvain Juneau.

“We are delighted to welcome Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures to the Electric Circuit,” said France Lampron, Director – Transportation Electrification at Hydro-Québec on behalf of the founding partners of the Electric Circuit. “With its two public charging stations, the municipality reiterates its support to residents who choose to drive electric.”

The two new charging stations in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures are in addition to the one already in service at the Cap-de-Pierre rest area, along Highway 40.
